What makes for a great hometown?
Nearly 50 years ago the Cordova Community Council was formed. Our founders shared the notion that Rancho Cordova would flourish in the years to come if representatives from all community organizations came together to consider civic problems and plan for an enhanced quality of life here.
They called this “organization of organizations” the Cordova Community Council. And a half-century later, this amazing group of volunteers is still at it, building a better Rancho Cordova. This legacy of mutual support is a hallmark of our community life.
WHY JOIN?
The 4th Annual California Capital Air Show roars back to the skies over Rancho Cordova on Sept. 12-13 featuring the U.S. Air Force's amazing THUNDERBIRDS jet demonstration team.

Most would agree it is a place where residents have deep roots. There are lots of community celebrations, well-attended churches and vigorous service organizations. Neighbors know each other and businesses are locally-owned. Local heritage is honored and preserved and community values like volunteerism, good sportsmanship and healthy lifestyles are promoted.
Hundreds of volunteers will be needed to power this event. Save the dates!
